Squash (one 140g serving) contains 16.0 grams of carbohydrate and almost no fat.
Some of that carbohydrate (3.0g) is fiber which means that squash has pretty much no fat and few carbs.
It has 1.5 grams of protein in a whole serving and tons of nutrients. If there was ever a food to lose weight with, it would be this one!
It's almost like eating squash is eating nothing but fiber and water, both of which have no calories so it's a food that delivers pure nutrition with no effect on weight.
You would need to eat about 40 cups per day to maintain your body weight so technically I guess it's possible to gain weight with squash if you were to eat 60+ cups/day, everyday, but good luck with that feat.
Eat and be healthy.
