Olives (one 100g serving) contains 6 grams of carbohydrate and lots of healthy fat.
Some of that carbohydrate (3g) is fiber which means that olives have pretty much little to no carbs.
They have 1 gram of protein in a whole serving and tons of nutrients. If there was ever a food to lose weight with, it would be this one.
It's almost like eating olives is eating nothing but fiber, healthy oils and water, two of which have no calories so it's a food that delivers pure nutrition with no effect on weight. Carb amounts are most important when looking at weight loss.
You would need to eat about 2 lbs per day to maintain your body weight so technically I guess it's possible to gain weight with olives if you were to eat 4000grams/day, everyday, but good luck with that feat.
Eat and be healthy.
