Grapes and Mineral Content

Grapes (one 151g serving) contain more minerals per gram than most foods we eat, even the healthy ones.

Grapes contain manganese. An element that contributes to many of our body's functions, including the metabolism of protein, fat, sugar, and carbs. It also plays a role in bone formation, blood clotting, and reducing inflammation.

Grapes are a food that have calcium, magnesium, and some iron which has a role in bone health by promoting bone formation and strengthening activity. Foods high in calcium and magnesium help to build strong enamel which prevents cavities.

It is also said that eating grapes, and other foods high in the mineral folate (B9) is important and beneficial for the health and growth of the baby in the womb. Of course, check with your doctor before taking any supplements while pregnant.
