Cabbage (one 89g serving) contains 5 grams of carbohydrate and almost no fat.
Much of that carbohydrate (2g) is fiber which means that cabbage has pretty much no fat and little to no carbs.
It has 1 gram of protein in a whole serving and tons of nutrients. If there was ever a food to lose weight with, it would be this one!
It's almost like eating cabbage is eating nothing but fiber and water, both of which have no calories so it's a food that delivers pure nutrition with no effect on weight.
You would need to eat about 100 cups per day to maintain your body weight so technically I guess it's possible to gain weight with cabbage if you were to eat 200+ cups/day, everyday, but good luck with that feat.
Eat and be healthy.
