Avocados are a high fat diet with barely any carbs. They pretty much fit the definition of what a Ketogenic diet is.

Avocados have about 4 grams of carbs with 3 of them being fiber. Carbs from fiber don't really count because they don't do much if anything to affect your insulin level - the cause of weight gain.

Avocados are high in fat, especially the good fats so it makes an excellent choice for both the Keto diet and good health. Bacon is part of that diet too and while overall the diet is healthy, bacon isn't so avocados are a real winner and approved by everyone in every diet camp
