Asparagus is Keto. You can eat a whole cup of steamed asparagus and only ingest 5 g of carbohydrate total. And some of that's going to be fiber so really it's much less.

Also, the carbohydrate that's found in most vegetables like asparagus are not the same type of carbohydrate that you would find in fruit or in sweets and desserts for example. This is important.

The type of sugar or carbohydrate makes a big difference to your diet or weight loss efforts. 5 g of carbohydrate from a vegetable like asparagus for example will not increase your insulin level the same way 5 g of carbohydrate from a piece of chocolate or candy will.

It is my contention that we can eat a lot more carbohydrates on a Keto diet if the carbohydrate source is mainly from vegetables like asparagus or artichokes.
